Experience
I have three websites. One is a very large collection of camel clipart and the other two are just fun sites where I have used some creativity to have a good time. I have gotten very good with html and table commands.

WebTV Problems - WebTV monitor compatibility

Expert: K. Lawrence - 9/4/2004

Question
My mom's eyesight is getting worse.  She has a hard time viewing her WebTV on her small TV screen. I have a 'regulation' 19" computer monitor that I'm not using.  Is WebTV compatible (and thus, viewable) on my monitor?  Is an adaptor available from the monitor's 9-pin cable to the RCA/phone jacks that WebTV requires?

Answer
Hi, as far as I know there is no adapter for hooking the webtv up to a monitor. I looked into it a few years back and there was nothing at that time. I spend most of my time on a computer now so I have not checked it out lately.

A few suggestions, and just off the top of my head, the first thing I would do is call 1-800-gowebtv and ask them. They should know.

You might present your question to a place like Radio Shack or a local computer store. The Webtv box should be able to be hooked up via a cable connection. I have mine hooked up with a cable out from the box to cable in on my TV. Maybe there is an adapter that would work.

I really doubt there is anything since the concept is to hook the box up to a TV.

But, good luck, maybe there is something, there should be...

Take care, I hoped I helped.
