WebTV Problems - WebTV service or hardware problem?

Question -
My Grandma uses WebTV and has been having some problems in the past few months.  She uses it with MSN, primarily for email.  She gets disconnected while typing or reading emails.  Some times the unit has to try multiple "stations" in order to reconnect, but she is usually take to exactly where she left off.  This had not been a problem for her previously.

Any idea if this is the webtv hardware (RCA RM2100) going bad or a problem with MSN?  Since it's been happening for months, I would have thought a service problem would have been corrected, but who knows.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
-Brad

How do you "take" an upgrade?  Sorry for the newbee question.

Answer
no problem...ever so often webtv offers the user an upgrade...you just have to click on "upgrade" and it loads automatically....if she did this, then it could affect her email...if not, then maybe her unit memory is too full...have her delete all the messages she has already deleted...go to "storage" of the left of her main email page..a page will come up that has 3 folders...SAVE..SENT...DELETED....have her delete the SENT AND DELETED files...that will clear up her memory...also..have her unplug the unit for about 30 minutes...that will clear any unwanted stuff...when she plugs it back in and turnes it on...a box will come up...have her click..SAME PLACE...that should clear up the problem...if not,,call 1-800-GOWEBTV...and explain to them the problem...it might come from their end...
