Purple looks great with like colored flowers infused with some bright green and whites. Sticking with the single colored bouquets in either whites, off white, purples (but a lighter or darker shade), solid oranges, greens, etc.  Mixing the colors like the bright limes and the oranges with other colors as indicated above tends to bring the suffer down more to a contemporary look.
