Question
My best friend is getting married in Vegas. Do I still throw her a bridal shower back home???

I know that it is 'proper' to invite the same guests to the wedding that are invited to the shower. She has been personally inviting people, so how should the wedding invitations be worded??

Thanks so much for all of your help!

Answer
Ashley:

You can still throw her a shower since this is a destination wedding. The rules change a little in this case.

I am not sure if you are asking about wedding invitations (that's what you said) or if you are looking for wording for the shower since that is what we were talking about.

For the shower, you can simply word it "You are invited to a shower for..."  Another option is that you word it according to the theme of the shower. For example, you can request a recipe for each of the guest and then the invitation can read:

The ingredients for a successful marriage
a whole lot of love, a dash of spice
and lots of answers to "What's for dinner?"
