Weddings - Wedding Flower budget

Expert: Shannon M Mason - 2/18/2008

Question
I was wondering what kind of flowers I could use for my wedding that would be inexpensive yet beautiful(besides carnations or chrysanthemums)
And if I did want roses for my bouquet how much should I expect to pay for that?

Thank you!

Answer
Erica:

Flowers are seasonal and whereas you can pretty much get anything you want during the off-season, you will pay a higher price.

That being said, the price of flowers really isn't as bad as it may seem. Also, pricing will be based on the time of year and your location. I would suggest visiting a few floral shops and then checking to see if you have a local wholesale florist that will work with the public.

Wedding Bouquets typically run around $100 for the bride and $75 for the bridesmaids no matter what type flower you use. They can of course get higher if you are using something unique or out of season.

Good luck!
