Weddings - Wedding Invitation

Expert: Helen Joan Casper - 2/3/2008

Question
I was wondering how we could let our guests know that no children are allowed at the wedding without making it sound too offensive.

Answer
I apologize for not responding in a more timely fashion but I was laid up with a migraine headache.

Such preferences like that are best made through word-of-mouth. However, a simple sentence at the end that states, "Due to the preferences of the bride and groom, the wedding and reception are for guests aged 18 or older" should be sufficient enough. Any other elaboration should be done via the wedding party or family to guests.

Please let me know if I can help you further or with anything else.

Best wishes,
Helen =)
