Experience I''ve been a wedding coordinator for 16 years. I authored a WEDDING PLANNING GUIDE, a Bride''s Workbook, that is available in local bridal shops. Tattered Cover Bookstores in Denver, CO as well as local Borders Books and through my website. I''ve worked with weddings from just 2 people to 350 guests and all budget ranges. I've also written and teach The Art of Wedding Coordination to those who want to become wedding coordinators.
Question My son is geting married in March at Key West. He is wearing a white shirt with khaki trousers and sandels. I have notidea what to wear. The bride has not yet decided, but I asume her dress will be white and casual also. I do not know the mother as she lives out of state. HELP!!!
Answer Hi Anne,
I would recommend a nice dress that is knee length. If it's warm enough, it could be sleeveless, with a jacket, that you can remove for the ceremony. If the wedding is going to be on the beach, wear flats, or sandles as heels and sand just don't mix.
Talk to the bride and see what she'd like you to wear, what her colors are, and what her mother is going to wear. Select a color that compliments her colors but stay away from white or red as these tend to draw attention away from the bride. When selecting your color to wear, picture the pictures and how the colors will work together.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
