Question i have the trouble of having where to sit my father and my step dad i think i am going to both walk me down the isle. don't see me dad often and he lives abroad so were not that close and my step dad has been more of a dad while i was growing up so i would of just loved him to give me away but i wont my dad to be involved as he has not been there for most of my life so thats why i have chosen both. but i would not know where to sit everyone. i was suggested to have a lovers table for me and my new hubbby and have them sit on a separate table but i do not like this idea so im stuck for what to do. please can u help with some ideas.
Answer Sarah:
Not sure if you are asking where they should during the ceremony or during the reception. So I will answer both!
For the ceremony, I would place your step-dad and mom on the first family pew and your father on the second, immediately behind them.
For the reception, if you don't feel like there will be any conflict, then they should all sit at the parents table. If you are looking for a different way to have your wedding party and parents seated at the reception, you can opt to have family style seating at your head table. This places seats on both sides of the table and I have seen up to 24 place settings at the head table in this format.
With this style seating, you can have both your wedding party and dates as well as both you and your groom's parents join you.
