Weddings/Dress blues or suit

Question
My son, and army Leiutenant is invited to a friends wedding. It will be either semi-formal or formal. Should he wear his dress blue uniform or a suit?
Donna:
Whatever he feels comfortable wearing. I say this because if the weather is going to be hot and uncomfortable, he still has to abide by military rules while wearing his uniform. If he is only wearing a suit, he can take the jacket off and loosen the tie.
