Question I am getting married in September 08. My dress is a champagne satin with a bit of ivory in the bodice. My girls are in black satin. The men are in black as well. I am having a problem with the flowers. My decor for the tables and cake will be champagne and black as well. Can you help with the flowers. I do not really want any bright colors and would like to stay with ivory and champagne. What type of flowers would be best.
Answer Hi Debra,
Flowers can be a problem, however, you have some great basic colors to work with.
I would suggest you have at least one different color as an accent. It could be a light pink, blue, red (such as a Fire and Ice rose).
Have your florist show you hydrangea, ranunculus, roses, calla lilies, anemone, chrysanthemums, stock, orchids, anthurium.
These are just a start of flowers in the colors you are utilizing. A great magazine, you might want to pick up, is Brides n' Blooms. This is one that I use a lot with my clients as it gives the names of flowers as well as offers colors that work together.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance. You might also check out my website www.weddingsbytanya.com for additional ideas as I have lots of pictures on it.
