Question My wedding gown is a maggie sottero. It is white with champaigne color on it. YOu can see a picture at the following website: http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?line=m&showAll=1&style=S350
I didn't necessarily want the champaign color in the dress but I messed up and now it is there. I wanted to do a pink and green color scheme but now I'm not sure what to do since there is a champaign color in my dress. Can you suggest a color scheme and the color for brides maids' dresses that would go well with my dress? Thank you in advance for your help.
Answer Kathy:
If the link is to an image of your actual dress with the lace being champagne, then I believe you can still use your pink and green color scheme.
The champagne color will pick up any color that you put against it. The only concern that I would bring to your attention is how you intend to decorate the reception room. You need to look at your dress against a white tablecloth prior to the day of your wedding. If the tablecloth is too white, it could make your dress appear to be dirty rather than champagne.
You should be able to visit your reception site and ask to see the linen and then just hold your dress up next to it to get a good look. If it looks ok then great, but if not then you may want to consider renting linen or overlays which will mask the whiteness and bring in the other colors.
Use the link below to see a pink and green them with an organza overlay (again be careful of the white)
