Weddings - Informal engagement party invitations....

Question
My two best friends from highschool recently got engaged and I'm hosting the engagement party.....I know them SO WELL however am at a loss when it comes to the invitations. I dont want just your unoriginal invitation. The two of them are very witty people and both are quite humerous. What are some suggestions for wording on the invitation to a VERY CASUAL, no bringing gifts, drinkin beer and wine kind of engagement party. I'd like for people to literally laugh when they read the card. For example, something like putting- causual dress, pants optional. LOL....we like to laugh a lot.

Answer
I think a rhyming invitation can satisfy the humor requirement. I'd be happy to help you via my website (www.rhymeshop.com) but would need some background on the couple and the event plan. You can see examples of what I bring to the party via www.rhymeshop/blog. Forgive me for daring to suggest my service.  Felicia
