Weddings/Hollywood Glamour Wedding

I am planning my daughter's wedding that is coming in 3 1/2 weeks. We have been planning for several months on a tight budget but have come up with some great ideas for the Hollywood Glamour theme. I would like to hang something from the ceiling of the reception room and was considering hanging black or white latex balloons from the ceiling with ribbons. I would just scatter them so it looks like the balloons are floating. Have you ever seen this or do you have any other ideas? My other idea was to take tiny 2 & 3 inch mirrors and attach one to each side (back to back) at the end of a ribbon and hang several of those to create the sparkly diamond effect in the room. Please - any frugal ideas are welcome.

I love this theme and since I am not a fan of balloons I like the mirror idea better. To me, this is a more elegant and inexpensive way to achieve your decor goal.
I also like the idea of a few crystals hanging from the ceiling. Here is a site that sells wholesale crystals and you wouldn't need a ton, just a few hanging here and there to break up the mirrors. http://www.saveonbeads.com/WHOLESALECRYSTAL.htm
