Weddings - Wedding Colour

Question
My bridesmaids are wearing a deep purple that can look like brown or black when standing alone. They will be wearing a black shoes to tie them into the black tuxes and help show the contrast between the black and purple. The groomsmen are wearing a white shirt on black suit with a lilac tie. My chief bridemaid is wearing a lilac gown while my husband will be using a dark grey suit on lilac shirt with a purple tie. I don't want to use a flower girl but i want my little daughter to be on the train any suggestions for helping these colors coordinate better? Maybe lilac and purple mix together on her dress would look better? Maybe a different color all together? The bride is wearing ivory white. I want to know also if the colours i have chosen is nice or does it blend. Any suggestions you have would be much appreciated!!

Answer
I am not sure about the lilac shirt for your fiance.  I would stick with a white shirt and a purple tie if you didn't want him to wear the same tie as the groomsmen.  For your daughter, I suggest a lilac dress with a dark purple sash or an ivory dress with a dark purple sash.

I hope this helps.  Should you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me again.

Happy planning,
Wendy Wuitschick, CWP
