Weddings - centre piece for wedding

Question
hi, Was wondering can i put floating candles in any glass
vase or drinking glass? One idea i have for centre piece is
3 glasses either 2 same height and the 3rd shorter ( and
maybe slightly wider) or have 3 glasses which are all
different heights.

In each glass there would a be a floating candle with tiny
coloured stones ( bright red or white which is my colour
theme)at the bottom.
What other things other than colouring the water could i add
in the glasses? There will be a rose ( or other white or red
flower(s)) in between the 3 glasses. The glasses will be on
a mirror style matt.
There would also be sprinkles of irridescent confetti on the
table. How does this sounds? Any ideas ( whether it be
adding something or changing something) would be super!

Answer
Hi Rose:

You have to be careful to not have your centerpieces look too busy.  Less is always more!  I would opt for 3 vases of different heights as it will give more symmetry to your tables.  If you plan on putting glass stones at the bottom of each vase, I would refrain from adding any additional color or thing to the water.  Simplicity is always better than having the vases fighting with themselves.

In lieu of adding flowers between the vases, I would sprinkle rose petals around the bases of the 3 vases and omit the confetti.  I am not a fan of mirrors on the tables but if you plan on using them, I would also add some votive candles to add a bit of reflection onto the glass.  You could do this even if you decide against the mirrors.  Lots candles always makes for a more romantic feel.

I hope this helps.  Should you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me again.

Happy planning,
