Question
Hello.  I do not know how to word our invitations.  My fiance's parents are giving us a large sum of money for the wedding (they are still married).  My mother and stepfather are giving us about 1/4 of what his parents are giving.  My father is giving us nothing for the wedding.  We are paying for the rest ourselves.  How do I word this invitation, including all of the parents?  The groom is also in the military, he is a Specialist in the United States Army. Please help!

Answer
The invitation should have the names of the parents of both you and your fiancee.

Mr.and Mrs. so and so  and Mr.and Mrs.so and so
and Mr.(your father) are pleased to invite you to the wedding of
________________  and _________________________

Time,date and place of wedding.

Who pays for the wedding or the amounts of financial help for the wedding should never be mentioned.
