Question
I am doing my niece wedding and she would like her arch build out of four columns and frabic at the top swagging between all four poles. my question what can I secure the frabic with at the top of the columns they are eight foot high and I would like to put a bouquet arrangment at the top of each pole after I put the frabic on how can I secure that too? thinks for all the help

Answer
Hi Andria,

This is something that the florist usually takes care of as they need to be anchored, especially if the wedding is outside. Since there are bouquet arrangements involved, I highly recommend you work with the florist to do this.

If you still want to do it, then secure the fabric with wire or ribbons.  Use wire to attach the arrangements as well as you don't want them falling or coming off.  Don't forget to take a ladder as a venue probably won't supply it due to liability.

What you are creating is similar to a "huppa", which they use in Jewish ceremonies.  http://www.do-it-yourself-weddings.com/huppa.html is one website that may give you some ideas.

Again, I'd encourage you to talk to the florist about the best way to do this.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if I can be of any further assistance.
