Experience I''ve been a wedding coordinator for 16 years. I authored a WEDDING PLANNING GUIDE, a Bride''s Workbook, that is available in local bridal shops. Question As the 50th anniversary is 'golden', could you please tell me with what the 65th wedding anniversary is celebrated?
Answer According to my resources, the 65th anniversary, is considered "diamond" just as the 60th is. Another resource said that the Blue Spinel is also a choice of stone for the 65th.
For some reason when the "powers that be" put together the anniversary listing, they went from 60-70th and left out 65th, so it really is whatever you want it to be.
I would recommend something that is consumable, if possible as seniors that age don't need anything that has to be fed, dusted or watered. Consider giving them a trip, if they are up to it, maybe to Las Vegas or back to the location of their honeymoon. Other options would be gift cards to eat out, see a movie, or support one of their favorite charities.
