I was watching the "Buddy Holly" video the other day, and MAN, that's a cool video!
I was wondering how they made it. I looked for information on the internet, and all I found was that they combined Weezer performing on the set of Happy Days with original footage, but hey! The guy from Happy Days talks to them and even calls them by their name! How's that?
And if we've mentioned videos - How'd they do the Island in the Sun video, with all the animals? For some reason, that video really depresses me. But how's they do it? Are all the animals real?
Thanks a bunch!
Noaya.
Answer I've not seen the "Buddy Holly" video in a while, but I don't remember him calling them by name. Perhaps they just took footage from the show of him talking and spliced it in, other than that I can only assume they dubbed over his voice.
As for the "Island in the Sun" video, I've only ever seen the original version that they released in which they were just playing in the front yard of a house. They ended up scrapping it and shooting another one because they were unhappy with it, if I remember correctly.
