Question How many of the original band members are still in the band? What are their names, who replaced who, etc.
Answer There have been seven members of weezer, the only two that have always been there are Rivers and Pat
Original members-
Rivers Cuomo
Jason Cropper-guitar
Matt Sharp-Bass
Pat Wilson-Drums
Jason wrote some of the songs on the blue album with Rivers, but left the band before it was released. He was replaced by BRIAN BELL whom plays on that album.
This group was the core of weezer through Pinkerton and through some of the hiatus. Matt Sharp quit four years ago (a little over four i think) and was replaced by MIKEY WELSH on the bass for the reunion tour and the Green album. Sharp went on the pursue his personal project the Rentals.
Mikey quit the band about a year ago and was replaced by current bass player SCOTT SHRINER. Scott plays on Maladroit
