Question hi i felt too anxious to read most of the past answers so i went straight to asking. I'm about 6 foot and i weigh 175 pounds so im not relatively chunky but there is definitely body fat.
i run a few times a week for accurately .8 miles(40 inch strides) and i avoid fatty foods daily.
i do a variety of abdominal workouts every second night including 50-100 crunches, as much reverse crunches as i can and as much oblique sit-ups as i can and i understand that muscles grow the most when i am resting.
i was just looking for an opinion basically if i need to increase intensity or run more cause i want to loose weight and also increase ab muscle mass.
would u mind listing also aerobic excersizes i hear they help reduce body fat.
just a reminder, i have a strong will power i dont give in to eating cake or stuff or skipping a workout so i am alright to do anything you tell me to help.
sorry about the length and all the details i thought they would make thinks easier.
p.s im a male and turning 16
Answer Hello Marc
You already have high metabolism, so you do not need to increase your aerobics any more than you have already. What will help is to include weightlifting.
lift every other day. Lift light, to start out, and then slowly increase the weight as time goes by.
Your body will slowly grow bigger, and stronger. I was a medium shirt, 190 lbs at age 18. I went to an XXL shirt and 283 pounds. Due to weightlifting. The stretching and aerobics keeps everything in great working condition.
Thanks for the question. Hope this helps.
