Question Hi! I need to lose fat, and to do this i'm willing to run 30 min. every day, and i'm currently also weight lifting consistently at 3 times a week, to get stronger. But, to get stronger, i'm supposed to eat every roughly 3 hours, but how can i do this and lose fat at the same time?
Answer Hi Jamal you need to eat to lose, I know it seems crazy but it is true. The closer you can get to your recommended calorie intake the faster you will lose weight. So if you are supposed to take in 2500 calories that's what you need to do.
When your body does not get what it needs in the way of food it does not run as smoothly as it should. Just like not given your car enough gas. If you aren't feeding your body enough it has to hold on to what you are given it. This in turn causes food to be stored rather then food to be used as energy. Very difficult to lose weight when the body is in this state. There are some great tools out there for calorie estimation give them a try and start eating and see what happens. I think you will love the results. Remember you can't just eat anything your food choices need to be healthy.
Check out the calculators here to estimate your calorie needs:
Also a metabolic training is a better form of training for weight loss compared to just straight running. Your body becomes accustomed to that very quickly and the results come to a standstill, not what you want when you are trying to lose weight.
