Question I have recently lost 3 and a half stone. I exercise 5/6 times a week, usually a 3 mile run or a 50 minute dvd work out involving weight training. I also try to do one hou swim once a week. My diet is very good, I eat fruit and vegetables during the day and have an evening meal usually of chicken and vegetables. I weight 9 stone 10lb and would like to loose a few more pounds. Im finding my stomach is still flabby and nothing seems to be working to tone it up. I cant fit in any more time to exercise as I work full time. What do you suggest?
Answer Hi Kristina,
Many times when someone looses a large amount of weight quickly there is a considerable amount of loose skin that seems impossible to remove. Some people have went so far as to have this loose skin removed surgically. It will eventually tighten up through your exercise, but it is usually a pretty slow process.
I believe that a stone is about 14 Pounds, so currently you weigh about 136 lbs (9 Stones,10lbs) and have lost about 42 lbs so far, is that correct? You don't say how quickly you lost the weight
Various body creams, especially ones that contain Aminopyline as well as collagen may help somewhat. There are also tablets that contain collagen to help tighten the skin.
As far as fitting any more exercise into the program, I don't think that will really help.
You may want to change some of your exercises around, here is a great report by Georgette Pann on ab development, www.bmgfitness.com/abs
