Question Hello Sir,
My elder brother was slim (48-50KG)but recently decided to put weights & so for the past 6 months was regular at gym. His body was toning up well (56-58KG), unfortunately he met an accident & now has broken rib on left side.
What is the reconvery time for broker ribs & how soon can he get back to weight lifting & gym. Are there any precautions to be taken in terms of nature of exercise routine he has or diet plan...?? Can a person with broker ribs resume gym with normalcy & what should be the ideal time period to should start gym again.
thank you
kalpesh
Answer Hi Kalpesh,
Your brother should follow the recommendations of his physician. 6 to 8 weeks is usually the minimum time for broken ribs, and once they have healed you should be very careful. Once they are back to 100% then you can resume your bodydbuilding as before as long as you use good form and do not re-injure yourself.
The main thing is to be very careful to prevent re-injury.
