Question
Hi, I was wondering, I sometimes run on a treadmill and the
lower part of my shin hurts. I am 16 years old, have a lot
of endurance, but when I run on the treadmill, my shins just
kill  me. I think I have shin splints. Do you agree? If this
is the case how long should I rest for until I can run
again? Thank you.

Answer
Hi

it sound's like the same as what I had in truth. The usual course of action is too see a sports physio aas they can help make you better.

In the mean time you need at least a weeks rest from activity and when you do go back you start light and gradual. but 1st priority for you is too see a sports physio!

Hope that helps

Richard
