Weightlifting & Exercise - lower abdominal exercises

Expert: Charles Staley - 6/29/2009

Question
hello
I have been trying to get in shape, but I have trouble exercising my lower abs. when I do certain exercises that involve me lifting my legs, by hips come out of there sockets. do you know any hip-friendly excercises?

Answer
Hi May, thanks for your question.

I'm certain your hips are not coming out of their sockets- this would be a medical emergency. Are you just saying that these exercises hurt your hips?

BTW, lower abdominal fat cannot be removed by performing any type of abdominal exercise.

Get back to me on that though and I'll see if I can help

- Charles
