Weightlifting & Exercise/Why do I have cold like symptoms the day after exercising?

I have a dry mouth and a very horrible headache.

Hi Brooke,

Not sure, have you seen a physician? If not, go see one. It may be a sort of DOMS ( Delayed onset Muscle Soreness). It may be that you are not drinking enough water or getting enough fluid. There could be a number of reasons for not feeling well after a bout of exercise. You may be doing too much too fast, you may not be eating right.

I would first see a physician to make sure there is no underlying medical problem. Once that has been eliminated start looking at diet how hard you are pushing yourself.

Hope this helps

Have a great day
