Weightlifting & Exercise/French Press?

Question
What is a French Press?

Answer
It's used for making coffee. :-)

No, really, the french press is basically a triceps extension exercise. There is an upright machine for this, but it can also be done lying down with either a barbell or dumbbells.

Lying on a bench, hold a barbell (or E-Z curl bar) at a slightly less than shoulders-width grip with your arms straight. Bending only at the elbow, lower the bar down, then straighten your arms.
