Weightlifting & Exercise - Gap in between legs

Expert: Lynda Lippin - 2/19/2007

Question
Hello! I would like to know what exercises I can do to close the gap in between my legs because it is embarrassing, makes me look malnourished and it upsets me, i am kinda slim (not extremely skinny) and I would LOVE to build muscles anywhere I can (but not look muscley) btw im 15 soon to be 16 in april if that helps

Answer
Dear Quana,

Thanks for your question.

Oh, how I wished for that space when I was your age :-)!

First, let me remind you that you are still growing and may very well get bigger there over time.

Given that, you can strengthen the muscles in your abs, thighs, and butt which will help.  Go to

http://www.self.com and do a search for thigh & butt exercises

and check http://pilates.about.com for great Pilates exercises

Good luck & feel free to ask more questions.

Regards,

Lynda
