Weightlifting & Exercise/Quick ab workout

Question
I am a 44 year-old woman who is 5' & 106 lbs.  I do, however, have a pronounced belly.  I've never needed to diet or exercise, so I don't have much self-discipline. When I do try to exercise, I try to get it over with as fast as possible.  I do know that for most exercises to be effective, they need to be done slowly.  My question is -- are there any ab exercises that can be done quickly, yet are still effective?  Thanks, in advance!
