Weightlifting & Exercise/arms need to be thinner

Question
what exercises or weight lifting can I do to make my arms thinner

Answer
Dear Karla,

Thanks for your question.

First the bad news.  Your arm size is controlled more by genetics than anything else.  Are there other women or men in your family with the exact same issue?

Now the good news.  Through exercise you will be able to make some change in size (and at the very least tone what you have).  If you don't have a regular exercise program, now would be a good time to begin since toning your whole body will help every part.  Cardio will also help here to increase your metabolism and help burn more fat generally.

Here is a good arm toning workout--

Use lighter weights and do 2-3 sets of 15-20 reps each.

Good luck and feel free to ask any other questions!

Regards,

Lynda
