Question
Hi i feel kinda stupid asking this well i have a big belly so i started losing fat in my belly but i cant seem to sea any big diference so i looked well and i noticed the huge amount of fat in the sides of my hips i knew i had but not so much so i knew that was my biggest problem you see the huge amount of fat in my hips makes my body looks out of position even though when it doesnt look i have that much fat in there i do and makes my whole body looks bigger from side to side than it is and sometimes i cant wear tight pants cause the whole fat comes out and also cause of the extra in my hips and in the front of my belly makes me have the shape of an ice cream cone... and also my friend says that that's my natural shape cause noone has so much fat in there wich it doesnt make sense but could it be true? well can you please give me tips on how to reduce the amount of fat in the sides and make my body look normal? and also
well i normally do crunches when i found out that crunches and sit ups only help you form muscle in your upper abs i decided doing reverse crunches i do 100 crunches then 40 reverse crunches it hurts really bad after im done wich i think is good right? i do that routine twice a day, so when i started with the reverse crunches ok so after i started with reverse crunches i started feeling more fat in my stomach rather than less and more muscles and well i do see a little bit more muscles in the lower part but wayyy more fat and i decided to stop doing them and keep on crunches only and after that i started feeling less fat in my stomach am i doing the reverse crunches wrong? or something? sorry for writting so much i'll be waiting for your answer

Answer
Hi Laura,

There are several different "body shapes" for women. Here is an article by Karen Sessions that has a good deal of info on that subject. http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/ms-fit9.htm

You mention your exercise plan which seems to be doing reverse crunches but not much else. Here is a link where you can get an ebook/course that will help you with both your nutrition and your weight management. It will help you look and feel the best you ever have.

It  probably is not that you are doing the reverse crunches wrong, but it appears that is all you are doing, and no one exercise by itself will get you in shape, especially not if you have not got the nutrition plan working for you.
