Weightlifting & Exercise - bulging disk

Expert: Brian - 10/4/2006

Question
My age is 46.  Last year I went skiing and ended up with a bulging disc.  I worked out about 3 to 4 times a week and now I can't even do that for 20 min.  I try the eliptical and some weights but only like 3 pds.

Answer
Hi JB. Not sure what your question for me is here. Ask your doctor what exercises you can do safely. I'm not a doctor, but I understand that w/ a bulging disc, they often want to see if it will heal on its own, and key to that is what you do and what you avoid doing...
