Question
My friends and i are doing a workout 5 days a week where we do monday chest tues back wed shoulders thursday triceps and fridays biceps but we feel as though our work out isnt allowing us to build much muscle we are sore after we workout but we were looking for more weight gains in our sets so we were thinking about doing power lifting right now we do about 4 to 5 exercises for each thing and do either 3 to 4 sets of ten reps what do you reccomend us adding to see more gains and make us stronger? we were leaning towards power lifting but none of us have much knowledge on how to start or what to do

Answer
The program you are doing is an excellent one.

I would recommend doing more sets: 4-6, and fewer reps (8 reps) with a bit heavier weight.

Not sure how long you've been at this, but please understand that it takes a long time to add muscle (years really, not weeks or months).

Powerlifting is a sport, not a weight training regimine. If you are interested in competing in the sport of powerlifting, write back and I can tell you some places to learn more.
