Weightlifting & Exercise - muscles

Expert: Brian - 8/12/2006

Question
Hi, my name is Andrew. I know that when a person lifts weights, he can gain muscles. Lifting weights can make a person slow. Is there any kind of exercise that i can do everyday to gain muscles besides lifting weights?

Answer
Lifting weights will not make you slow. Consider the legions of pro and amateur athletes who lift and rely on speed for their sport (football players, track athletes, etc.).

Gaining muscle really requires challenging your muscles and that is best achieved by weightlifting.
