Weightlifting & Exercise - pelvic floor

Expert: Brian - 11/30/2006

Question
Hi Brian..I'm a 35 y/o male.  I have pudenal nerve pain..pain and pressure in my pelvic floor.  I've had it non-stop since July of this year.  I've been lifting weights for about 20 years, but now any exercise seems to irritate my pelvic floor.  Do you know any other people with this problem?  Do you know any good exercises for it?  Thanks

Answer
Hi Paul. I'm not a physician, and I had never heard of pudendal nerve pain before. I read up on it and some sources indicate that physical therapy helps some people. I'd talk to my doctor if I were you. I really can't be of any help here, sorry!
