Subject: 6G Certification Test

Question
I am a student about to graduate.  And I would like to take the AWS Test to get certified in the 6G position, to help me get a good job.  Do you know how much it costs to take the test?

Answer
The cost of the test varies testing station to testing station, and whether it is actually a "field Qualification".

Most schools don't want to pay the cash to become an " AWS Accredited Testing Station", so instead they do field qualifications.
Any Certified Weld Inspector can perform field qualifications, but the paperwork will only have the CWI's name on it, not the school.

The cost can go from $100 to $300 or more.
Are they supplying the pipe or are you?
Do you get an actual card from AWS (Accredited test Station) or just a card from the inspector (field qualification) ?
How many practice tries can you run before the test?

Lots of variables.
