It's Cooper's Hawks that are known as "chicken hawks" not Red-Tails.

Also they are Buteos not falcons....

A red tailed hawk attached and killed our chicken right while my son was standing 10' from him!

When my wife and I bought this house in Plympton 22 years ago. shortly afterwards this hawk was born in our back yard and every spring it comes back to our house. one year it went swimming in our pool and my wife got pictures of it. It was only about 5 feet away from her. this past weekend my daughter took some amazing pics of this beautiful bird.
