About Lee Stevens
Expertise
How to fit and hang all kinds of curtains. What works best on different sorts of windows. How to measure your window correctly. Choosing the right style to suit your room. Fairly good at colors, but not an expert.

Experience
20 Years in the custom made curtain business. I have been involved in the the advising, making, fitting and hanging of all kinds of curtains. I am still running my own window treatments business on a daily basis and learning new things every day.

Education/Credentials
I have no formal qualifications in the area of window treatments. I have just learned from making lots of mistakes. Also as important by watching how other more experienced people have created beautiful window treatments. Then trying to improve upon it.

Past/Present Clients
I have hung and dressed curtains for royalty and a fair few premiership footballers. I have fitted curtains in some of the top hotels in London. I have also fitted curtains for lots of ordinary folk just like me and you.

Subject: wand for curtains

Question
I want to install draperies on a rod with rings over a patio door.   Would like to have a wand (like the ones I see in motels) to open and close the drapes.  Where could I get such a wand or is there a way to make my own?

Answer
Hi Pat

Firstly my apologies for not answering your question sooner. It seems to have slipped through the net.

Now to your question You can buy these wands as you call them at many places. They are really called "curtain draw rods". The link below will take you to a page full of all kinds of draw rods. This company is UK based. So if elsewhere then just type "curtain draw rods" into google.

I hope this helps and apologies again.

Best Regards

Lee
