Question QUESTION: I have a Windows 2000 Compaq computer that was recently reinstalled from a Windows 2000 operating system CD. I am trying to install Verizon highspeed but each time I load the CD and open the program, it tells me 'Setup.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. How do I get the CD to work? I even tried run 'setup.exe and it says the same.

QUESTION: Well I cannot update these due to the fact that computer will not connect to the internet, so the windows update will not come up. My uncle accidently deleted my aunts Microsoft word, so he for some reason reinstalled windows 2000 on the computer. We have 3 computers hooked to the net, and the computer that has the problem was the main computer with the dsl box. The other one's still have internet access somehow, but the main one doesn't.
Answer there are so called Administrator Versions of the Service Pack which can be downloaded on a different computer and then burned on a cd and transferred to the one which needs to be updated...
