Question
QUESTION: hi..I have win 7 here, and it keeps saying 'internet explorer has stopped working' and im trying to how to fix that. thank you!!

ANSWER: Hello James

The best way to fix the Internet Explorer error is to STOP USING IT!   Truly the Internet Explorer is probably the worst web browser to be using, not only for safety/security but for speed. Do yourself a favor and install the Google Chrome browser which you can download from this link:  https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/

As for fixing the internet explorer issues; my guess is your computer is probably infected with numerous malware/spyware issues all in part due to using the Internet Explorer.

I suggest visiting my website at http://tpsconsulting.com and read the TIPS page on OPTIMIZING your computer. Then go to the SOFTWARE/SUPPORT page where I suggest installing all the programs from the PINK section as they will help with the cleaning/removal and ongoing maintenance from the malware/spyware issues that cause so much problems and slow downs, including the problems you are most likely having with the Internet Explorer.  Then, if you still want to use the Internet Explorer, be sure to go to the Microsoft Windows Update site and get all updates, not only the CRITICAL ones but all OPTIONAL ones as well.

The Belarc Advisor does a good job of making sure you have all the latest security udpates. This program you can download free from the following link:

I hope this helps

Expertise

As I have been volunteering in the 'windows' category since the inception of AllExperts, which has now moved to numerous windows categories. I will therefore be happy to answer any Windows 7,8 and 10 based question. What can't I answer? Not much, as this is the main reason I volunteered here, because I am hopeful the questions I can not answer will allow me to investigate the problem so that I can answer it. The TIPS and SOFTWARE support through my website at http://tpsconsulting.com can also be of some help.

Experience

I have owned my own computer consulting business for the past 17 years and since the very beginning I have volunteered with AllExperts in the hopes I would be able to learn from others mistakes and problems. The goal for me is to be able to research any problem I don't initially have the answer to, in the hopes I will be able to further benefit for my own clients when they come across a similar problem.
