Windows 7/Disc Image

I have Win7 64 Bit on a 500 GB Hard Drive and I downloaded EaSeus Todo Backup.

Now I know I can us EaSeus Todo Backup to make a Disc Image of my Hard Drive and put this Image onto another 500 GB Hard Drive.

And if my Hard Drive ever goes down I can just take out the Old Drive and Plug In the new Drive with the Image on it and it will Boot ok.

But what if my Drive just goes down but does not Break I just want to put the Image back onto it.

Can EaSeus Todo Backup do this?

Hello Bob

Any 'image backup/recovery' software will have the ability to restore to any drive, so long as the size of the drive can handle the data size.  When you restore an image you are removing whatever was on the drive for the image to be recovered. I think the question you are asking could be answered quite easily if you visited the FAQ's of the EaSeus website. I have done this and have the following link which should help you with what you want to do:

Since this is a 'wizard' it will help you step by step. Just remember this image will be placing the status of your drive back to when you created it and NOTHING after that time will be on the drive after you restore the image.

What you may want to do, besides using the disk image software is to purchase off-site backup services which will back up all of your personal data in real time. That way if you do delete something accidentally you can recover it. Or, in the case of wanting to simply start over, from a point in time that you know everything is working correctly, you could restore from an image, and then using the off-site backup you can restore all files that were created AFTER the image was created. That way nothing is lost and your recovery time is cut down immensely by the fact that you have created the backup image and you will not have to re-install your programs.

As for off-site backup, I suggest Backblaze as they provide the least expensive for unlimited data and you can take advantage of my client code here:

Hope this helps

As I have been volunteering in the 'windows' category since the inception of AllExperts, which has now moved to numerous windows categories. I will therefore be happy to answer any Windows 7,8 and 10 based question. What can't I answer? Not much, as this is the main reason I volunteered here, because I am hopeful the questions I can not answer will allow me to investigate the problem so that I can answer it. The TIPS and SOFTWARE support through my website at can also be of some help.

I have owned my own computer consulting business for the past 17 years and since the very beginning I have volunteered with AllExperts in the hopes I would be able to learn from others mistakes and problems. The goal for me is to be able to research any problem I don't initially have the answer to, in the hopes I will be able to further benefit for my own clients when they come across a similar problem.
