Windows 7/Itunes 7

Hi Mike,

My ITunes display of my songs, is too large for my screen. Is there a way I can make it just a bit smaller so all the info of the songs is displayed?
I am a rookie when it comes to computers so treat me like an idiot with any explanations or help.

Thanking you in advance.

Hello Don

Sorry for the delays in responding but for some reason my all experts mail was going to my spam folder.. all fixed and now I'm back in action.

When you open itunes you should MAXIMIZE the window by clicking on the Maximize button in the upper right. This way it will fill the screen but will also put things in to scale, whereas if you click on the middle 'restore' button and have it as a window then you will find if you move your mouse to the bottom right corner (for example) you should get the diaganal arrow which will allow you to click and drag the window to resize. The thing is, this can make it quite difficult to read all of the material so it is best to first maximize the itunes window. Once it is maximized, you can then choose your view options. if you don't have the text (menu bar) showing then click on the upper left menu drop-down button and then choose SHOW MENU BAR. This will then provide you with the text menu and you can then click on VIEW  and choose what you want to show. I personally like the Sidebar and Status bar visible.  Once you have found your best viewing choice-which I would hope has the SIDEBAR visible. Then click on your Top left LIBRARY-MUSIC which will then fill the other window with your music. You can then choose how you want to view this by changing to SONGS which then lists all of your songs.  With regards to all the columns.. you can RIGHT CLICK on the column bar and choose what you want to view. For example, Name, Time, Artist, Album, Genre, Rating, Plays (this is what I have on mine) but you can add or remove any by using the RIGHT click on the column bar and selecting others. You will of course then need to scroll through your list as I am sure you have lots of music to choose from. You can then sort it by clicking on the column header so alphabetically by clicking on the NAME (twice if you want Z-A reverse order) and same for TIME to pick the longest running track or shortest...

For more help or to go through any particular area you may be still having troubles with, I suggest visiting the Apple Itunes Support page here:

You can then click on GET STARTED and follow the tutorial if you are completely unsure of where to go next.

I hope this helps

As I have been volunteering in the 'windows' category since the inception of AllExperts, which has now moved to numerous windows categories. I will therefore be happy to answer any Windows 7,8 and 10 based question. What can't I answer? Not much, as this is the main reason I volunteered here, because I am hopeful the questions I can not answer will allow me to investigate the problem so that I can answer it. The TIPS and SOFTWARE support through my website at can also be of some help.

I have owned my own computer consulting business for the past 17 years and since the very beginning I have volunteered with AllExperts in the hopes I would be able to learn from others mistakes and problems. The goal for me is to be able to research any problem I don't initially have the answer to, in the hopes I will be able to further benefit for my own clients when they come across a similar problem.

More information can be found at my website
