Windows 7/External backup

Question
Hello: I have Win7 Home Premium, and backup to an external 0.5 TB WD My Book Essential.I am getting windows warnings that there is not enough space on My Book to backup my files, even though I have deleted all but the latest backup.I am planning on buying a 1 TB external drive to replace/supplement the old one.Is there an easy way to use both drives as backup? If I decide to get rid of my current 0.5 TB drive,is there a way to securely erase it's contents? Thanks!

Answer
Hi Michael,

I recommend using a software like Syncback to copy your files:

Use KilLDisk to wipe out your hard drive completely. This should be able to do a low level format which will make your data unrecoverable:

Hope that helps.
