Question I have a Gateway 850 desktop pc that I am reloading Windows 98SE from the original System Restoration disk. I formatted the harddrive and then reinstalled Windows 98SE. It went through the install and then it just sits at the C:\ prompt. I rebooted it, and it went through the normal boot up process including showing the Windows screen for only a couple of seconds and then went to the C:\ prompt. I can't get into Windows. Any ideas?
Answer Hi Toni, were there any issues encountered during the restoration process?
Type in the word win and hit ENTER to see if it boots into Windows.
