AboutMichael Troy Expertise I have lots of answers for problems with defrag, clock time, performance, system resources, problems with passwords, opening files, etc. I also probably know of a freeware/shareware application for anything you want to do: sharing Internet, firewalls, games, utilities, graphics, audio, etc.
Experience I am the Director of Information Systems for a large law firm. I handle all sorts of hardware and software problems for over 300 users who use Windows 95/98. I also have a home network of six computers.
Question Hello [= [I'm sorry to ask you this question again but I kind of delete the email with the answer in it. -.-"]
I want to know if there's a way for me to use WIRELESS internet on a windows 98 desktop computer and if so how? I have a westell modem/router ... model: A90-750015-07. I'm currently with verizon DSL; I already have windows xp desktop and laptop hooked up to my router. The router is currently hooked with my XP desktop.
Answer Hi Michelle,
Assuming you have a wireless router, you just need a wireless card for the Windows 98 computer. This can be difficult as there are not a lot of devices that support Windows 98 any more. But they do exist and are out there. Also, if you have the original Windows 98, not 98 se, make sure the device supports that. Many devices support only 98 se. However, there are some devices that support the original 98 as well.
