Windows 95/98 - Ethernet Adapter for Win 98

Expert: Flinix - 9/4/2008

Question
Hi,
I have a HP Pavilion 4430 and would like to see if I can get it operating on high speed Internet.  It does not have an ethernet cable port.  I tried buying an adapter from Best Buy but it only is supported by Windows XP, Vista, etc.  Any ideas?  Thanks!
Julie

Answer
Well its not the adapter that isn't supported by 98, it is just the driver 'for' the adapter. Sad to say, the only way to get the driver to work is to use the one given to you by the product, but since it is not compatible for Window 98, it will not be of use to the Windows 98 system. Sorry and have a nice day
