I am the Director of Information Systems for a large law firm. I handle all sorts of hardware and software problems for over 300 users who use Windows 95/98. I also have a home network of six computers.

Windows 95/98 - msn messenger

Expert: Michael Troy - 5/29/2009

Question
If I use my work email address for msn messenger can my company read the conversations I have been having?

Answer
Hi Lisa,

If you are not using a work computer and are not having your information sent to you via email, your employer should not be able to access your account.  That said, it is usually a good idea to use a personal email (free ones available from yahoo, google, or even MSN) to keep completely separate from work.
