Question
QUESTION: Hi,
My USB drive in Windows 98 is not working. I download driver files from http://www.technical-assistance.co.uk/kb/usbmsd98.php. But when I try to load this file from CR-ROM it did not read CD but this system ready game CDs. I try to copy USB driver files from drive A: but again windows is not reading the drive A: as well. I hope some settings is missing.
Please advice.
Thanks
Govind

ANSWER: Hi Govind, which file did you download? Did you try saving it to your desktop and running that executable file directly to see if it installs the drivers that way? You don't need to install it using a CD or floppy if you can save it to your computer. It will actually be quicker on your part.

QUESTION: Hi Kevin,
My Windows98 system is not connected to internet. I need to copy those files into this (windows 98) system. In that process it fails to recogonize CD-ROM or floppy drive.

Looking for your advice.
Thanks
Govind

Answer
Does Windows recognize any floppy diskettes at all?

For the CD, if Windows sees other CDs without any problems, you should have no problems viewing this one also. Some older CD drives may not like certain CD brands. If possible, try using another brand of CD to see if it helps or burn that file again at a lower speed.
