Windows 95/98 - Keyboard problems

Expert: Kevin - 9/8/2009

Question
Hi, my keyboard is messed up, i dont know how it stopped working but alot of the keys dont work only some. I'm going to use a boot disc to erase everything on my windows ME to restore and it comes to the question of are you sure you want to restore and it says click y for yes or n for no and i cant click the y button, so im wondering what could i do to fix that without really buying a new keyboard cause the computer is old and i just wanna use it for storage. Thanks

Answer
Hi Aaron, do you have any special function keys on the keyboard that might be enabled?

Have you tried re-seating the keyboard cable already? Also check to make sure that none of the pins are not damaged?

Kevin.
